Aishatu

In this play, Iyorwuese explores the dangerous effects of hard drugs on young adults and condemns the exploitation of these youths by rich dealers who flaunt short-term benefits to entice young girls. The play tells the story of Aishatu, who left school to prosper in the drug trade but became mad.

Professor Iyorwuese Hagher is one of Africa’s finest playwrights. He was Nigeria’s Ambassador to Mexico and Canada. He lives in Dayton, Ohio, USA.
