Lifetimes
A lifetime is a terrible thing to waste.
Laide, an AIDS patient in the care of a traditional doctor, Pa Jimoh, is abandoned by her family and friends to die quietly and alone. But Pa Jimoh, the only one who believes in her, takes her in and calls her his wife. In their confinement, they act out multiple lifetimes, from a military governor’s wife to a first lady.
Lifetimes is a story about love, hope, and resilience in the face of despair. It is a play about the power of the human spirit to transcend even the most difficult circumstances.
